That being said, the southernmost state shaped in a way that makes it look like the US has a micropeen has a few…interesting characteristics. One is that apparently there are no dinosaur fossils in the state! It’s also the flattest state in the entire country, and it’s highest highpoint (Britton Hill) is the lowest highpoint of any State. It’s also illegal for unmarried women to skydive on a Sunday. The Florida Keys also declared independence in 1982, naming themselves the Conch Republic – for 2 minutes. It was mostly tongue-in-cheek, but there were genuine frustrations backing it.
